To celebrate 400 years of Shakespeare, Macmillan Publishing commissioned me to illustrate a set of his characters in the style of the Macmillan Young Reader man. Here are a few of my favourites:

I was commissioned to create a set of illustrations to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the original Alice in Wonderland publication. The project involved individual characters, a pack of playing cards, resource materials for teachers, a game of snakes & ladders, a brochure, masks of the characters… Dream job! This banner was used in emails about the broader 150 celebration project:

Many of my character illustrations take the postures of the original Tenniel illustrations, the remit being to celebrate them.

This tea party scene was for Macmillan Asia, to promote a film-making competition in schools. I thought Alice taking a selfie would be a nice twist
