Brand and illustration for Urban Design Works

I was invited to created the brand for Urban Design Works, who provide professional development and urban design services. In our initial conversation, Rob talked about urban design being concerned with the spaces in between the buildings, which caught my imagination. I wanted to convey that in the lettering, but also with people using the spaces.

Rob then asked me to do two hero image illustrations for the website, continuing the style from the logo. The banner above shows Tibby’s Triangle, a distinctive development in Southwold, with a group of students on the Urban Design course that UDW runs.

Rob asked me to create a flyer for the course inspired by Blur’s Best Of album cover, so I made portraits of the teachers.
