Araminta Campbell Atelier
Scottish textile designer Araminta creates beautiful pieces at her Atelier in Duddingston. The team hand weave luxury tartan, tweed and alpaca products, and also offer a mill-woven range, working with rural artisan mills across Scotland.
Araminta asked me to develop her main Atelier brand, for which I needed to create a line drawing of the building. We then worked on a brand for the Minta label, which is the mill-woven range. I also developed a series of icons and a coherent brand guide for the team.

With the Atelier illustration done, we created some Christmas postcards, developing the drawing with colour. I also made a llama postage stamp, following the style of the icons.

Most recently, I’ve created two look books for the Minta brand; one for the Alpaca range (cover shown below), and one for the Tartan range (cover below, and you can also browse the whole book).

I’ve also created vector files for some of Araminta’s bespoke tartans. These are for when her client would like to print the tartan onto products as well as have the hand-woven fabric. A photograph of the actual fabric doesn’t reproduce well in print, so I make really detailed versions, both flat and with some texture added, to suit the print methods.
