Description
Redshank, Belhaven Salt Marsh print. Limited edition giclee.
image size 8 inches / 20cm (frame size 12 inch / 30cm)
The stretch of salt marsh behind Belhaven Bay was formed around a hundred years ago, as shifting sands blocked a strip of land off from the sea. The dunes and marsh here are home to a fantastic range of waders including the redshank, whose bright orange bursts make them worth including in any picture.
This image is drawn as a vector in adobe Illustrator, using a digital tablet, then layered in Photoshop with paintings that I make purely to use as texture. It’s a convoluted process, but I love it.
Please note, the framed image is a mock-up because I haven’t worked out how to photograph through glass – my frames are actually nicer than the mock-up. They’re slightly textured, made of wood and glass. Your print will be numbered, titled and signed on the print and on the mount.
The images on this site are RGB, so your print will differ slightly due to screen calibration and colour mode.
Gift wrapping can be added at the cart. I use coloured kraft paper and paper ribbon (entirely recyclable). I’ll also write your message in one of my greetings cards.
Local collection: if you opt for Haddington pick-up in the shipping options, I’ll email you the address.
