I was asked by the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to create a series of illustrations to accompany their performance of Debussy’s Toy Box. The peformance was narrated by Catherine Arlidge and was part of their Debussy Festival in 2018.

A grumpy elephant wanders in.. the dolls play music that’s meant to calm elephants.. he remains unimpressed and storms out!
There is a fierce battle between the soldier’s army and Pulcinella’s
The soldier is wounded. He still has the doll’s flower on his heart.
